The word of the year is progress and progress I have been making. It may, at times, seem like it is three steps forward followed by two steps back, but it is progress just the same.
Graduate school has been taking much of my time, which is a convenient excuse for not updating the blog. Not precisely entirely true, but convenient. Most recently, shoulder surgery kept me from it, but that only explains the last week or so.
With the fall comes a time of recentering, I think. Much like in spring, I feel the need to declutter and release lingering rubbish (and projects) that need to go. Of course, this means they can be replaced with NEW INTERESTING projects. And new interesting projects are always more fun than old, half-finished projects. To that end, I have more ideas than time, but i think I’m going to spend this refocusing time on planning out my style, my theme, and my goals as an artist.
With any luck, there will be a coached writing workshop as well as an art journaling workshop that comes out of it!
